Job Description

File Clerk duties are not limited to but may involve any combination of the following: *Uses a wide variety of office machines and data processing and/or computer-controlled equipment including but not limited to word processors, calculators printers, cash processing devices and validating equipment, and copiers. *Performs filing and data entry functions for correspondence, checks, vouchers, various charts, index cards and records, and other materials according to established procedures. *Performs basic and routine cashiering duties. *Maintains financial information records not requiring technical bookkeeping knowledge; posts data to one or more sets of specialized records. *Assists citizens and customers regarding a wide range of information services, fees and account adjustments. *Performs related duties as required.
