Job Description

Candidates will Perform moderately to highly complex procurement, negotiation and contracting activities, including soliciting and securing the purchase of Information Technology materials, equipment and services through requirements clarification; soliciting information, proposals and bids; evaluating proposals and quotations; and selecting suppliers in a manner that maximizes total long-term value to the enterprise, minimizes risk and optimizes the cost/benefit relationship while meeting or exceeding delivery, quality, service and diversity requirements.

Job Requirements

This position requires a Bachelor's degree in business, computer science, engineering or a related field. Purchasing certification (CPSM, C.P.M., and A.P.P.) and an advanced degree are preferred. Minimum of five (5) years of progressively increasing responsibility and experience in supply chain management, with at least three (3) of those years in procurement of services and materials. Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of products, particularly spreadsheet and word processing applications and working knowledge of data base structures and applications.
